A woman accused of performing dental work on patients without a license went before a suburban Cook County judge on Tuesday. CBS News Chicago had previously reported on how unlicensed dentist Monica Davis had left Chicago area patients with fake braces and a chipped tooth. State records show Davis registered The Veneer Experts as a business in July last year. The Veneer Experts had also been reportedly operating at a Las Vegas strip mall, and Davis was picked up for illegally practicing dentistry without a Nevada dental license before being released from police custody. Reporters reached Davis twice, and both times, she didn't have anything to say about her business or the allegations against her in Illinois or Nevada.
